Emotional intelligence and school climate in primary school children in Spain, Norway, and Poland

Introduction: Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to manage emotions effectively. It has a clear impact on well-being of schoolchildren. A large body studies shown how emotional impacts psychological and contextual variables, but less known about school context may influence in development during childhood. The objectives this research were describe level climate for schoolchildren Primary Education three European countries, explore association between intelligence, analyzing moderating role gender country. Method: 1104 participated (528 from Spain, 252 Poland 324 Norway) (50.6% girls; MAge = 10.49 years; SD 1.3). Validated self-report languages used, Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 Modified-Delaware School Climate Survey-Student. Results: Descriptive analysis showed higher levels Spanish climate. Girls repair compared boys. Multiple multivariate regression models indicated . Gender country did not moderate relationship dimensions. Conclusions: This study highlights importance quality schools different regions promote boys girls Education.
